The weather's been clearing lately and Cameron feels like maybe it's a good idea to actually leave the dorms. It's still cloudy, but it's not freezing for which he is grateful as he still doesn't have the money to get a winter coat like Liz adviced him.

Cameron sat up on the bed, watching Vala sleep beside him. He reached over, stroking the hair back that had fallen across her face, his fingers lingering on her blonde streak. He felt lousy.

Cameron was slightly nervous as he headed down the hall to go wake up room 239/240 for their morning run. He hadn't heard from Janet yet, so it might be she didn't get any news, but it didn't stop him from wondering. At least Vala had been able to make him quickly forget about any dreams he had that evening. He might be whipped, but happily so.

To say Cameron is in a good mood is definitely an understatement. He squats down beside the bed and watches Vala sleep. She hasn't taken off the necklace ever since he put it on her. Leaving Vala sleeping in bed, Cameron gets up early. He knows he dreamt about it again, but until he's got word from Janet he's going to ignore it. With a little less bounce than usual, he heads for room 239/240 to see if anyone's awake and up for running. The news about Kitty last night makes him not so eager to go out alone.

It's a while later when Cameron and Vala finally make it out of the shower. Cameron's still bouncing, Vala slightly muttering about overactive, health freak boyfriends. They head to room 238, 239/240 to wake up the others.

This is better, definitely a whole lot better. Cameron smiles and nuzzles Vala's cheek. She's still asleep and makes a soft mewling noise that's way too endearing. He could definitely stay here forever, but it's been days since he went for his morning run and he doesn't want to get pudgy like Crichton. It takes him another fifteen more minutes ( Read more... )

Cameron isn't up for his morning run. In fact, he's lying fully clothed on top of his bed and he's snoring loudly. Crichton at least had the brains to get under the sheets before falling asleep. After days of working out and getting very little sleep, something had to give.
